More than an exchange

Get known. Make connections. See where they lead.

Local Loop is a way to get your business in front of other local businesses, share what you’re good at and make genuine connections in your community.

An exchange might simply be a great exchange. Or it might lead to a referral, another project, or a paid working relationship down the track. What happens next is completely up to you.

Try each other out. Help each other out. And see where it goes.

What people are saying

Real experiences from people connecting, exchanging and collaborating through The Local Loop.

“The Local Loop has been a great way to connect with like-minded people in my area. It’s still new, but at our first meeting I met at least three people who have already helped my business grow and introduced me to some invaluable connections. Steph has incredible ideas, and the way she brings people together is amazing. I’ll definitely be back and I’ll be bringing others with me!”

“An absolute breath of fresh air! The Local Loop brings business networking back to what it should be: genuine, practical, and grounded in true Kiwi values. It’s personal, high-trust, and built around actually helping local businesses connect and back one another without the usual corporate stiffness. Highly recommend getting involved if you’re a local business owner looking for real community and authentic connections!”

Common questions

Wondering how the Loop works?

What is The Local Loop?
A local exchange network where people and small businesses swap skills, services and support. You offer what you’re good at and receive what you need — an hour given for an hour received.
Where does The Local Loop operate?
Our first Loop is on Auckland’s North Shore. New Loops launch across New Zealand based on local interest — register your interest and we’ll let you know when one opens near you.
How much does it cost?
The first 50 approved members in each new Loop get their first 12 months free. After that, standard membership is $5 a month, and you can cancel anytime.
Do I need to run a business to join?
No. The Loop is for anyone with something to offer — sole traders, small businesses and locals with useful skills to share.
What kinds of things can I exchange?
Almost anything useful: marketing, photography, bookkeeping, gardening, massage, website help, business advice and plenty more.
